Workshop descriptions and time frames: WORKSHOPS ONLY $200.00 per day / WORKSHOPS AND ACCOMODATIONS $400.00 per day (Breakfast and Lunch included) SUPPLY FEE for non- digital workshops $100.00 per workshop.
Basic Encaustic
2 day
Using a process of beeswax and resin, you will create beautiful unique images that go beyond ordinary photos to stunning works of art from digital photographs. We will cover all basic encaustic techniques and the process from start to finish.

Advanced Encaustic Techniques
1-3 day
In this workshop we will explore advanced techniques from accretion to mixed media, additive paint techniques and beyond. If starting from scratch, the class will take 3 days, if working with own pieces already in progress this workshop can be completed in 1 day.

Polaroid Transfer/Emulsion Lift
1-2 day
Who doesn't love a good polaroid image! In this workshop you will experience creating polaroid images from your own photos! We will explore and create works in both polaroid image transfer and emulsion lift.
Gum Bichromate Printing
3 days
This 19th century photo process revolves around mixing light sensitive chemicals and pigment to create artworks with a rich depth and old world feel. We will explore materials, the step by step process, and spend several days working the process with your own digital photos.

Basic Adobe Photoshop and Bridge
2 day
In digital photography, Adobe Photoshop is the gold standard of photo editing and creative art techniques. We will spend one day learning the basics; tools, menus, and layers needed for basic editing. We will also explore various techniques for photo editing and retouching. Day 2 will focus on Adobe Bridge and Camera Raw, incorporating both into your "next step" editing processes.

Adobe Lightroom
2 day
In digital photography, Adobe Lightroom becomes our digital darkroom. Do you have a plethora of photos but can never find the one your looking for? Lightroom is the premiere program that organizes and edits your photos in a non-destructive way. Adobe lightroom works seamlessly with Photoshop for a smooth workflow experience.

Digital Photography Camera Basics
2 day
So you finally bought that really great DSLR camera but how do you get out of Auto mode? In this workshop we will cover all the parts of the camera, what they do and how to use manual settings to create dramatic photos. Day 2 will revolve around basic Photoshop tools and layers so you can begin the process of editing your shots in the "digital darkroom".
*DSLR Camera required.
